Hello,
I have been so busy this is the first time I have set down at the computer to do anything. On Saturday I had lunch with Susan and Victoria. We enjoyed each other’s company and inspired one another. Then on Sunday I went with Judy to Fair Port and did a quilt talk for Marty and her friends. So good to see her.
Tue was the final meeting of Social Art for this season and we had an art show as a part of that event. It was also Noel’s time to say good bye to those folks. This is her piece .
I showed The Tide’s Out as it had just come back from the framer.
Wednesday was the Pixie meeting.
Thursday Liz and I helped Noel do another day of pack up. She then kindly took us to lunch.
Friday was a play day at Marcia’s. Deb shared her piece. Kathy is in the back ground ironing the black and white half triangle squares she was working on.
Jean shared her work that she was working on at our last play day.
It had been a busy time and I will not be posting for the next two weeks as I am off to the SAQA conference in FL for a week. I will follow that up with the Spring Retreat at the Schweinfurth. April 10 will be my next report.
Progress Report: Lap 7-25 I moved on to the next in the lap works. It is always fun paly for me.
Red Tide I have just begun to work on this piece. So different from the green piece I just finished. I am continuing to try new techniques on this one too.
The quilting is done and I tried to add highlights to the plastic shapes . But that didn’t work as it is too close in value to show up. So I will need to think on it and make a second try for the effect I am looking for.
Gloves In my rooting around this week I found Grandmother Ruth’s wedding gloves so I started the last square for the gloves quilt. I took it to Marcia’s yesterda , but sense I discovered that I had stitched one of the handkerchiefs down with the knots showing , I had to pull it up and redo it.
Bloodwork When I last had blood drawn the nurse kindly gave me the wrap used on my arm. I cut it up and that is the blue circles on this piece.
I have a busy life and I am enjoying every minute.
Keep Creating
Carol
